Eric Renick & David McDonald | Audition-Ready Drum Set

Learn the basic grooves necessary for orchestra & band auditions, and how to make them win-over a committee. Eric Renick will be joined by special guest Master Sgt. David M. McDonald who is a drummer with the Airmen of Note, The United States Air Force Band. Originally from Decatur, Illinois, his career in the Air Force began in 2006. Before joining the Air Force, he performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, Fulcrum Point New Music Ensemble, and the New World Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he was a member of the 2005 Pacific Music Festival Orchestra and the 2002 Disneyland All-American College Band. A graduate of DePaul University, McDonald received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance in 2005. Prior to joining the Air Force, he began graduate school at the New England Conservatory of Music. He later completed his studies at the Catholic University of America and received a Master’s Degree in Music Performance in 2014. This class is presented as a part of The Percussion Conservatory Studio Membership.
