The Artist agrees to present classes on Wednesdays at 8:00pm ET during the given month of residency. If this is not possible, alternative days and times must be agreed with the PC staff at least 8 weeks in advance of the residency.
The Artist agrees to arrive to each class 5 minutes before the start of each class. Vimeo Live links will be sent to artists in advance of their classes.
The Artist agrees to one test call of 30 minutes or less to check sound, lighting, and video equipment for Vimeo Live masterclasses no less than 7 days before their first class. If you have already done your welcome call, you will be told if your setup is working properly.
The Artist will pre-record video/s for their first masterclass and submit the video/s and any additional materials at least 1 week before the start of their residency.
The Artist agrees to use the following audio-video settings when they are creating pre-recorded materials:
Video must be shot in 9:16 ratio in landscape format (vertical format is not accepted)
Video should be shot in 4k when possible, but must be shot in at least 1080p
Video edits should be of a professional standard and should be briefly discussed with The PC, or video should be sent in unedited.
Video must be uploaded to a file sharing service such as Google Drive or a YouTube Playlist and shared with The Percussion Conservatory. If you're shooting on a phone, you can download the Google Drive or YouTube app and upload directly from your phone.
The PC will provide professional video editing as needed, a host for the livestream who will handle all screen sharing and Q&A facilitation, and video hosting of your classes for life.
The Artist will be paid $400 for a three-class residency, and an additional $100 per extra class. Full payment will be transferred with 24 hours upon conclusion of the final class of the residency. This is our universal payment rate and there are no exceptions.
The Artist should use an ethernet cable to have a grounded internet connection. If The Artist does not own an ethernet cable, one will be supplied for them.
The Artist will use a webcam or camera that has the ability to stream video in 1080p resolution.
The Artist will be provided a lifetime Faculty Pass to The Percussion Conservatory as part of their compensation package. This membership must be used for personal use only and will grant you access to all our masterclasses.
The Artist will receive at least a 50% discount for an Educational Membership package for their school depending on school size. Please contact Josh for details.
